Systems to live and breathe

The things that keep people alive on long trips in space need to work really well and not take up too much space or be too heavy. The cool systems on Orion, the spaceship, are built to handle the challenges of deep space travel. They're testing this smart thing on the space station to keep the inside of Orion dry.

Inside the spaceship, they're saving space too. Without this gear, they'd need room for 127 basketballs worth of chemical canisters, which is like 32 cubic feet. That's a lot, and it would use up 10% of where the crew lives. So, this new thing is making it all fit better.

Also, Orion has a smaller toilet than the one on the space station. It's just a bit smaller, but it helps keep things compact and comfy.
